In 2007 the BBC asked IOpener institute : can you contribute to “Making Slough happy? We would like to work with a party that has expertise on motivation and work." It was the start of a research project which continues until today. Based on the input of more than 50.000 working people we have developed the Performance Happiness concept. It shows which factors influence whether you perform well and feel comfortable at work. We are happy to help you discover this for your own organization and would like to team up to give a sustainable positive impulse to performance and happiness. Performance Happiness is the Dutch partner of iOpener Institute.

Who We Are
Henk-Peter is convinced that personal leadership is the key to success for an organization. He likes to challenge people to give the best they can and to be meaningful to their surroundings. Whether they are directors, entrepreneurs, employees or independent professionals.
Henk-Peter is an organization developer with experience abroad. For years he worked in Nepal together with locals to start up and build organizations. In the Netherlands he has been working as a consultant, trainer and manager for clients such as ING, Air France KLM, Rabobank and T-mobile.
Wim studied labour law in Utrecht and worked as a jurist/mediator for a trade union for 10 years. As negotiator he was involved in the development of corporate collective labour agreements.
Becoming a trainer/consultant was a switch in his career. Via 'subject centred interaction' (Thema gecentreerde interactie) Wim developed a strong sense for where and how interaction between people can be improved. He has been working for Rabobank, KLM, ING, Philadelphia Zorg and many others.
From a young age Sanne has been fascinated by what moves and motivates people. She has a strong interest in how you can learn to understand each other through communication so that it will lead to a real connection. Besides that she likes to research how social context, happiness at work and performance influence each other.
During her Master in Social Psychology Sanne has focused on behavior and interactions in social contexts. As an IT Recruiter she focuses on recruitment, selection & retention of employees. Since the end of 2016 she is an accredited Licensed Practitioner in the Science of Happiness at Work.

Liesbeth van Tongeren
What drives Liesbeth (1971) in her work is the realization that you are part of a bigger whole. You need the other to be able to function well. That applies for both individuals and organizations. It begins with discovering and appreciating your own ability and limitations, followed by seeing and appreciating the abilities of the other(s).
Besides interim-assignments in leading teams and projects, Liesbeth likes to work with Life Languages as an instrument to improve communication and cooperation within teams. Individual coaching focuses on leadership- and career issues.
What We Do
People want to change but they do not want to be changed. Therefore you have to create the right learning environment. Performance Happiness provides practical tools based on science. We like to develop together so that commitment grows.
Organization development begins with the change of behavior of individual employees. Therefore we give everyone insight in their own Performance Happiness via a personal and confidential IPPQ report.
As a leader you try your best to create an environment where people can be their best selves. To be able to do that you have to know how to lead yourself first. We know that this revolves around three key points: trust, pride and recognition.
For HR managers and independent consultants we provide an accreditation programme where participants are trained to be Licensed Practitioner. You are part of the Community of Practice which co-operates, exchanges and co-creates.
We accelerate and strengthen the search for optimum use of your potential by providing 1 on 1 coaching for executives, managers and employees. With the IPPQ as starting point our coaches will help you a step further.
PERFORMANCE HAPPINESS SHOW
Together with theatre producers and musicians we developed the Performance Happiness Show. Interaction, content, music and theatre are the ingredients of this programme that gives energy, excites, challenges and invites.
Together with our clients we form a team which achieves concrete results. In the Netherlands we work together with partners from the Radboud University and HU University of Applied Sciences. We train people to become Licensed Practioner in the science of happiness at work, an intensive programme that equips people to independently implement the tools developed by iOpener Institute. Together we form a community of practice where we aim for synergy as 1+1 = > 2
